Sybil and Bess were our first chickens when we moved to Australia. They were named after Simon’s grandmothers’.
They lived in a rickety old coop that Simon and Finlay had built while free-ranging around the property we were renting in Clunes.
They both lived to a grand old age and we have had many chickens since.
